Ponte Vedra Beach homes for sale
Oceanfront homes, golf communities and quiet marsh views, a few minutes south of the Jacksonville Beaches.
Living in Ponte Vedra Beach
Ponte Vedra Beach is an unincorporated coastal community in northeast St. Johns County, just south of Jacksonville Beach. It's best known for golf. TPC Sawgrass, home of THE PLAYERS Championship, is here, along with several private and semi-private clubs.
Housing ranges widely. There are oceanfront homes along A1A, homes on golf courses and marsh inside gated communities like Sawgrass and Marsh Landing, plus condos and townhomes that make the area reachable for buyers who want the beach without the maintenance of a large property.
For many buyers the draw is the beach and the feeling of being slightly removed from the city while still being a short drive to Jacksonville's job centers.

What to know before you buy in Ponte Vedra Beach
- Ask about club membership early. Some communities have optional clubs, some have mandatory memberships, and some have waiting lists. It changes the real monthly cost of a home.
- Coastal construction rules apply near the dunes. Oceanfront and near-ocean homes can fall under state coastal construction rules that limit what you can build or rebuild.
- Wind and flood insurance are part of the math. Close to the ocean, a wind mitigation report and flood quote should be in hand before your inspection period ends.
- Ponte Vedra and Ponte Vedra Beach aren't the same mailing area. Generally, the 32082 ZIP covers the beach side and the 32081 ZIP covers Nocatee and communities to the west. If you're searching, tell me which you mean.
Thinking about selling in Ponte Vedra Beach?
Buyers in Ponte Vedra Beach tend to be well researched and often relocating from out of state. Presentation, accurate disclosures and a clear story about the community and any club access carry real weight here.
